Dunedin (pronounced done-ee-din) is the Scottish Gaelic name for Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. The original settlers of Dunedin, Florida were proud Scottish folks who gave the city its name, and made Dunedin a sister city to Stirling, Scotland.
